The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Mop-Up exercise conducted for candidates who were unable to participate in the main examination due to technical challenges, biometric verification issues, and other approved circumstances.
Candidates across the country have begun receiving their results through the official JAMB result-checking channels. The release marks the completion of the 2026 UTME exercise and provides affected candidates with another opportunity to participate in the admission process without having to wait for the next examination cycle.
The Mop-Up examination, which was held on June 13, 2026, was organized to accommodate candidates whose examinations were disrupted by technical issues, those who encountered biometric verification problems, and other candidates approved by the Board after investigations. JAMB had earlier described the exercise as the final phase of the 2026 UTME process.
Candidates are advised to check their results using the same phone number used during UTME registration and to proceed with necessary admission processes, including Post-UTME registrations, change of institution or course where necessary, and O’Level result uploads on the JAMB portal.
Stakeholders have commended the Board for providing another opportunity for affected candidates, ensuring that no eligible candidate is denied participation in the admission process due to circumstances beyond their control. With the release of the Mop-Up results, attention is now expected to shift fully to admission screenings and the 2026/2027 admission exercise across tertiary institutions nationwide.
