The Lagos State University (LASU) has officially closed its online Post-UTME screening portal for the 2026/2027 academic session
A recent update displayed on the university’s Admission Screening Portal confirms that the online screening exercise is no longer available for candidates seeking admission through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) route.
The notice on the portal clearly states:
“The online screening exercise has closed.”
This development means that candidates who successfully completed their registration before the deadline will now have to await further announcements from the university regarding admission processing, merit lists, and other admission-related updates.
What This Means for Applicants
- Candidates who registered and participated in the screening exercise should:
- Regularly check the LASU admission portal for updates.
- Monitor their JAMB CAPS for admission status.
- Ensure their O’Level results are uploaded on the JAMB portal.
- Keep all screening and payment records for future reference.
For Candidates Who Missed Registration
- Applicants who were unable to complete their screening registration before the closure of the portal may have to wait for any official extension announcement from LASU. As of now, no extension has been announced by the university.
- Candidates are advised to rely only on information released through official LASU channels and avoid misinformation from unauthorized sources.
Next Stage of the Admission Process
Following the closure of the screening portal, LASU is expected to commence the admission evaluation process. Successful candidates will subsequently be offered admission based on merit, catchment considerations, and available quotas as approved by relevant authorities.
Prospective students are encouraged to remain patient and stay updated as the university progresses with the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
