The management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) online screening exercise for qualified candidates seeking admission into the institution.
The registration portal will be open from June 19 to August 16, 2026, and all eligible candidates are advised to complete their applications before the deadline.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
– Choose BUK as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME.
– Meet the minimum UTME score required for their chosen programme.
– Possess the relevant O'Level requirements.
– Upload their O'Level results to the JAMB CAPS platform (a maximum of two sittings is allowed).
Failure to upload O'Level results on CAPS may affect admission consideration.
Application Procedure
Candidates should visit the university admission portal and log in using:
Username: UTME Registration Number
Password: UTME Aggregate Score
Applicants are expected to update their profiles, complete the screening form, and verify all information before submission.
Screening Fee
A non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 is payable via Remita using a generated RRR. Payments can be made through debit cards, internet banking, or any commercial bank nationwide.
Candidates should print their acknowledgement slip after successful payment.

Most other programmes have a minimum cut-off mark of 160.

Candidates are advised to ensure that all uploaded information is accurate, as submission of false information or forged documents will lead to disqualification.
Blind candidates and foreign applicants are exempted from aptitude tests but must complete the online screening registration.
