The federal government says candidates seeking admission into federal colleges of education will no longer be required to sit the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The minister of education, Dr Tunji Alausa, disclosed this at the 2026 policy meeting of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Abuja on Monday.
Alausa said the policy adjustment also applies to applicants pursuing programmes in technology, agriculture and related disciplines across tertiary institutions.
