In a significant boost to the 2025/2026 academic session, Ekiti State University (EKSU) has officially confirmed the receipt of over ₦434.5 million from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

In an official communiqué dated February 23, 2026, addressed to the Managing Director of NELFUND, the Vice-Chancellor of EKSU, Prof. J. B. Ayodele acknowledged the disbursement of two major batches intended to cover the tuition fees of 1,340 students.

Prof. Ayodele expressed the institution’s gratitude, noting that the timely intervention has already facilitated the seamless payment of fees for the affected students.

“We sincerely appreciate the timely support extended to our students through these disbursements,” the Vice-Chancellor stated, adding that the university management remains optimistic about the release of further loans for other verified and approved batches.
