Lagos State University (LASU) has officially activated the portal for students who wish to apply for Intra-University Transfer for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The management of LASU announced that the application window will be open for two (2) weeks, starting from Monday, 15th September 2025, and closing on Friday, 26th September 2025. Interested students are therefore advised to take advantage of this window and submit their applications promptly.

Process and Timeline

1. Application Stage:

• Portal opens from Monday, 15th – Friday, 26th September 2025.

• Students who wish to change their department or programme within LASU must apply online within this period.

2. Consideration by Releasing Faculties/Departments:

• Duration: Two weeks (Monday, 29th September – Friday, 10th October 2025)

• At this stage, the student’s current department and faculty will review the application to determine eligibility.

3. Consideration by Receiving Faculties/Departments:

• Duration: Two weeks (Monday, 13th – Friday, 24th October 2025)

• The department and faculty into which the student seeks transfer will assess availability of space, merit, and requirements.

4. Final Approval Stage:

• Duration: Three days (Monday, 27th – Wednesday, 29th October 2025)

• The Intra-University Transfer Committee will review all recommended cases and give final approval.

Important Information

• Transfers are subject to availability of space in the receiving programme/department.

• Applicants must satisfy all academic requirements and must be in good standing.

• Successful transfers may lead to a reset of level to 200 Level, depending on the structure and curriculum of the receiving department.

• Only candidates who complete the process within the stipulated time will be considered.
