NELFUND announced the new features of its portal to the beneficiaries, the new portal features a personal dashboard where beneficiaries can verify the status of their loan disbursement independently.
The new features available on the portal are of different form, which are as follow:
1. Upkeep Disbursement Alert: This only concerned the student who applied for the Upkeep during loan application.
2. Dashboard Notification: Under the "Loans" section of the portal, the tuition fee loan history can be assessed, which will clearly shows:
• Tracking ID
• Date of Disbursement
• Status (e.g Disbursed)
• Loan Type(e.g Institution Fee)
• Academic Session.
Student are to take note that when the status of their loan shows "Disbursed" this implies that NELFUND has successfully paid the institution fees to the applicant institution. This will allow student to keep in check about the progress of their loan application status; Hence, student are advice to check thier portal regularly and use the information when engaging with their institution.
In a situation where the applicant institution denied the receipt of such payment after the application status shows "Disbursed", student are advice to bring the matter to the NELFUND via any of it's official communication channels!
This initiative aim to promote transparency, accountability and keeping the student updated with accurate, real-time updates on their loan status. Applicant are usher to visit the support team via website or social media handles for any further assistance or support.
