JAMB has trained 2,661 proctors ahead of the 2025 Mock-UTME and UTME to ensure a smooth and credible examination process. The training focused on ethical conduct, technical competence, and adherence to examination protocols.

Proctors are expected to be computer literate to assist candidates with minor technical difficulties. JAMB emphasized the importance of diligence, professionalism, and fairness, urging them to see their role as a national assignment. To prevent unauthorized access to exam centres, all proctors must register with JAMB to generate a profile code and wear proper identification throughout the examination period.

JAMB outlined key rules of conduct that proctors must enforce. Candidates arriving more than one hour after the exam begins will not be allowed into the hall, and no candidate is permitted to leave within the first hour. Proctors must ensure that biometric verification is carried out properly and that all candidates comply with the list of prohibited items.
